Safer industry thanks to AI - Invanta delivers first certified solution
Invanta, an expert in the field of industrial safety using artificial intelligence, is proud to announce the functional safety certification for its innovative safety sensor meeting the SIL 1 level. This certification confirms compliance with the requirements of the functional safety standard EN 61508, making this solution the first camera sensor of its kind to be certified in the world.
Invanta has developed an advanced safety system that can detect dangerous situations around industrial machinery in real time. When a person is detected in a critical zone, the sensor triggers an immediate reaction within milliseconds by stopping the machine, preventing it from starting, or alerting the operator to the dangerous situation with optical and acoustic warning signals, effectively minimizing the risk of an accident.
During Invanta's history, sensors have been deployed at a number of customers where traditional safety technologies such as fencing, laser optical systems or radars were not sufficient. This has secured the workplaces of industrial machines such as presses, crushers or robotic lines, both their surrounding perimeters and their entire interior spaces. Beyond the detection of people in the zone, sensors for detecting personal protective equipment or fainting situations were also implemented at customers.
Last but not least, we also addressed the issue of material detection, optimization of AGV operation, as well as pallet space protection. Requests for outdoor installations were no exception, where external influences such as harsh light or weather conditions had to be taken into account.
"In an industrial environment, safety always comes first. By obtaining the first SIL level for a safety sensor, we can now open the door to companies and projects that are subject to stringent safety regulations and thus contribute to raising the overall level of industrial safety. We are now already working on further levels of safety integrity," says Vit Rasovsky, founder of Invanta.
Certification for functional safety has enabled Invanta to come up with this new solution to meet the emerging market needs in the field of industrial safety. Called NeuraSafe, this camera sensor is the choice for securing machines, robotic workstations and production lines where strict safety standards must be met. The NeuraSmart camera sensor is then a more cost-effective alternative and can be used as a complementary safety system with a wide range of applications - PPE detection, AGV route control, etc.
The ongoing international expansion will be supported by this year's participation at Automatica Munich and A+A Düsseldorf. These events represent an important opportunity to establish further business relationships with the possibility to join Invanta's existing partners located in Germany, Switzerland and Slovakia.
